We collect information to provide a better experience for you and your children. This includes:
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Supabase). We may also store your name and profile picture if provided during the signup process (e.g., through social login). These are used strictly to manage your account and sync your data across devices.
- Child Profiles: You may create profiles for your children within the app. We collect minimal information: a nickname, age, and educational grade level. This data is used to generate personalized, age-appropriate AI activities for your child. We do not require or collect full legal names or specific birthdates.
- Usage Data: We collect information about the activities generated and your interactions within the app to improve our content and performance.
- Device Information: Standard device information such as model and OS version may be collected for diagnostic and performance purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Kidivity service.
- Personalize activities for your child's age and grade level.
- Synchronize your data across multiple devices.
- Improve and optimize our app's performance.
- Communicate with you regarding account-related matters.
3. Data Sharing and Security
We do not sell your personal information. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption provided by our backend partner, Supabase. We only share information when necessary to provide our services (e.g., authentication) or when required by law.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Kidivity is designed for parents to use with their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All data collection (such as child profile creation) is initiated and managed by the parent or legal guardian. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
5. Your Choices and Data Deletion
You can manage and delete your data at any time within the app's settings menu. Deleting your account will permanently remove all associated parent and child data from our systems.
